Bars & Lounges

On board the Independence of the Seas, you have a wide choice of bars and salons with different atmospheres. Spend a pleasant evening at the Boleros lounge of the 4 bridge rocked by Latin rhythms. To drink a cocktail while enjoying the performance of the best pianists of the ship, join the Schooner Bar decorated around a nautical theme. Go to Champagne Bar du Pont 5 to taste great spirits and cocktails made from Martini. For smokers, the Connoisseur Club is specifically fitted out so that you can enjoy your cigars. Several other bars and salons are present on the ship to satisfy you, among others The Dog and Badger Pub which serves beers, the Vintage Wine dedicated to wines and the Squeeze outside bar which offers smoothies and fruit juices.

Restaurants

Independence of the Seas offers you several catering options to guarantee you a great gastronomic experience during the cruise. Three main restaurants are fitted out in the rear part of bridges 3, 4 and 5, namely Romeo & Juliet, Mac Beth and King Lear. These main dining rooms honor dishes inspired by French, Italian, American, Asian and Mexican gastronomy. Independence of the Seas also houses the Buffet Windjammer Cafe restaurant at Pont 11 and many restaurants of specialties such as the Italian restaurant Giovanni’s Table, the Steakhouse Chops Grille and the American restaurant Johnny Rockets.

Entertainment

Take advantage of a wide variety of entertainment during cruises aboard the Independence of the Seas. Enjoy Broadway musicals or impressive acrobatics and magic numbers at the Alhambra theater located at the front of bridges 2, 3 and 4. Attend an exceptional ice show at the B studio located on bridge 3. You at the Casino Royale, located on the 4 bridge, to try your chance to win at slot machines, poker, craps, blackjack or roulette games. For passengers who like to dance and party, the disco The Raven is essential on the bridge 4. Various other entertainment is possible on board, among others the karaoke in the On Air Club, golf, surfing and climbing.

Children & adolescents

The spaces reserved for children are arranged at the back of the independence of the Seas bridge. Your buckles of 6 to 36 months can be left at the nursery under the supervision of a specialized team. Your children aged 3 to 11 are in the Adventure Ocean interior games room where they can watch films, participate in educational games, make drawings or scrapbooking. Teenagers aged 12 to 17 are expected in the living room where they can taste alcohol -free drinks and have new friends. The Fuel Teen nightclub is also designed for these adolescents, so that they can spend dancing evenings or karaoke evenings independently to appreciate their cruise more.

Pools, aquatic and sports activities

The Independence of the Seas, from the Freedom class and commissioned in 2008, houses two pools, an aquatic space for children, a solarium and several whirlpools. These aquatic activities are all accessible on bridge 11. The main “hand pool” swimming pool is suitable for those who want to enjoy a refreshing bath. The “Sports Pool” swimming pool is dedicated to sporting swimming and sports such as aquatic volleyball. These two swimming pools are surrounded by many deckchairs and three whirlpools where it is good to relax while enjoying the benefits of hydromassage. At the rear of the pool area, the H2O area water park invites the youngest passengers. Outside the Vitality At Sea Spa, a large solarium with two hot tubs are perfect for enjoying the sun in a peaceful setting.

Sporting activities

Doing sports is of course possible aboard the independence of the Seas. This cruise ship is developing a modern gym with latest generation devices, boxing ring and aerobic space where passengers can take yoga, fitness, pilates, taïchi or spinning lessons. This gym is located on bridge 12, above Vitality at Sea Spa. At the same level of the boat extends a long jogging track. Independence of the Seas also has multisports land installed on bridge 13. This land can act as football, volleyball or basketball fields. For the pleasure of lovers of outdoor activities, also find a surf simulator on board, a climbing wall and a mini-golf course.

Spa & Well-being

The Independence of the Seas promises you a single cruise with moments of relaxation and well-being. This cruise ship welcomes Vitality At Sea, a sophisticated spa complex located at the front of the bridge 11. It is an innovative wellness center composed of two wooden sauna cabins, two Turkish baths adorned with mosaics , as well as care and massage cabins. Several variants of massage are offered on board, to name only Swedish massage, bamboo massage and hot stone massage. MEDISPA experts are also available in Vitality AT SEA to offer you modern care such as laundering the teeth and Botox injections. Is beauty also essential for your well-being? A living room is arranged here to take care of your hair and to ensure manicure and pedicure care.

Stores

The independence of the seas devotes several spaces dedicated to shopping. On bridge 5, in the Royal Promenade, the shops promenade houses a good number of stores where you can find a wide variety of goods: jewelry, sunglasses, luxury watches, brand clothes, bags, Toys, articles including the Royal Caribbean International logo, etc. Also take advantage of a shop offering outdated products such as perfumes, cosmetic care, cigars, cigarettes, alcohols and various snacks. On deck 11, discover the Seatrek Dive Shop store dedicated to the sale and rental of items relating to nautical activities and scuba diving.

Services

Various services are offered to passengers during cruises aboard the Independence of the Seas, this seas giant. To find out about the excursions on the ground or to reserve one, join the office provided for this purpose, located on bridge 5, at the end of the Royal Promenade. Reception: Guest Services is located near this excursion office. To connect to your loved ones or your friends who have remained on the ground, go to RC Online, the internet point of the ship, located at the back of the bridge 8. Shows and entertainment

A cruise aboard the Independence of the Seas is an opportunity to attend extraordinary shows. The Alhambra theater, fitted out on bridges 2 to 4, features the best performances of world class singers, dancers and various talented artists in bright output shows from Broadway. Located on bridge 3, Studio B is home to the skating rink where surprising ice shows given by professional skaters take place. On deck 5, the Pyramid Lounge hosts live music concerts, themed evenings, dance shows and many other animations, such as bingos, television games and questioning games.

1-The ship

To enjoy the sun and have fun outside, Zone H20, the water park on deck 11 is a must with pools, waterfalls and water games.

 

Also, clubs welcome 3/11 year olds for educational games, drawings, scrapbooking, group games, movies... And the 12/17 years old with video games, karaoke evenings, TV screens to watch videos and the disco area in the evening. Not forgetting of course the day care center for children from 6 to 36 months.

 

 

4-Gastronomy, bars and lounges

On board this Royal Caribbean ship, you will find 12 restaurants, including three main international cuisine restaurants. Located on decks 3, 4 and 5, these are Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth and King Lear.

 

You can also eat at the Windjammer Café buffet on deck 11. And you'll also have the opportunity to vary the pleasures with specialty restaurants such as Giovanni's Table Italian.

5-Staterooms and Suites

You stay in modern, comfortable cabins, some with portholes or balconies to enjoy the sea view. Cabins range in size from 151 to 291 square feet on average. You can also select a king-size bed (71 inches wide) or twin beds.

 

For more space and comfort, Royal Caribbean also offers different types of suites. The sumptuous Royal Suite offers absolute luxury on a surface of 1,356 square feet with a balcony of 312 square feet.

 

 

6-Environment

On board the Independence of the Seas, as on all the ships in its fleet, Royal Caribbean applies rules to preserve the environment. In particular, it has eliminated plastic straws on its ships and wishes in the future to limit the use of plastic as much as possible.
