A sunny cruise with the Norwegian Sun
The ship launched on the seas in 2001 and renovated in 2016 has never deserved its name so well. Right from the bow, the Norwegian Sun presents its ambitions for fun and enjoyment, with its modern mural depicting a brightly colored sun. The twin of the famous Norwegian Sky, she is 879 feet long and 108 feet wide, with fifteen decks accommodating up to 1,936 passengers. Inside, a refined, elegant decor has been chosen, inspiring a warm, cocoon-like atmosphere for those who come to enjoy a pleasant cruise. Glass windows throughout the ship allow guests to admire the interior architecture, as well as the vastness of the sea. The luxurious Norwegian Sun harmoniously blends 50s style with sleek, modern architecture. The various leisure facilities on offer complete this sun of the seas.
Leisure amid luxury and elegance
The Norwegian Sun bends over backwards to offer you a tasty, gourmet cruise through its various dining establishments. The two main dining rooms on Deck 5, the Four Seasons and the Seven Seas, offer traditional continental cuisine in a luxurious setting, while Las Ramblas (Deck 6) offers tapas and other Hispanic dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. A paradise for lovers of grilled meats, Topsiders (deck 11) is an open-air grill where you can take advantage of the cruise's sunny climate. Several bars - twelve to be precise - round out the Norwegian Cruise Line's restaurant offering.
For a subdued, elegant ambience, head for the Windjamma bar (Deck 6) or the champagne bar (Deck 7), while a sports bar on Deck 11 opens wide its zinc and giant screens. More exotic, the Oasis pool bar (deck 11) features fresh fruit skewers and refreshing cocktails between two lengths. To complete the range of services on offer, the Norwegian Sun's crew maintains a number of entertainment venues, such as the Sun club casino (deck 11), the Oasis pool and whirlpools on the same level, and the 1,575-foot jogging course on deck 12. Children will be delighted by the Splashes pool and waterfall on Deck 12, or by the children's area on Deck 7, staffed by professional entertainers. And if that's not enough, a wellness spa opens its doors on Deck 11, while a library (Deck 6) and art gallery (Deck 7) give you the chance to enhance your cultural skills.
