1-The ship
The Norwegian Jewel is 964 ft long and 125 ft wide, with 15 decks, 12 of which are accessible to passengers. It can carry 2,376 passengers and 1,069 crew.
2-Adult entertainment and activities
The sports complex on deck 13 is perfect for outdoor tennis, volleyball, basketball... You can also practice yoga, jogging on the running track, weight training at the fitness center and Zumba classes.
Take advantage of your crossing to relax in the sun on the deckchairs of the two outdoor pools on Sapphire Pool, deck 12, one for families and the other reserved for adults. And try out the dozen or so whirlpool baths! The Mandara Spa is ideal for a wide range of treatments and massages, as is the thermal suite, sauna and hammam.
In the evening, the 974-capacity Stardust Theater spans 3 decks. Here you can enjoy musicals, magic shows and the circus. You can also discover the casino, the giant open-air chess game, the art gallery, the boutiques and the many entertainments in the panoramic Spinnaker Lounge.
3-Children's entertainment
On the pool deck, the little ones can have fun in safety in the Kid's Pool, a shallow pool with 1 shark-shaped slide and 1 whirlpool.
Older children can enjoy the family pool with its Waterslide spiral slide. There's also a Splash Academy for children aged 6 months to 12 years, with a nursery for toddlers (6/36 months).
For older children, Norwegian has planned games, cartoons, arts and crafts initiations. The Club Underground is reserved for 13-17 year-olds, with games, theater and fashion workshops, entertainment and an evening disco. They can also play video games in the Video Arcade.
4-Gastronomy, bars and lounges
With some 15 restaurants on board the Norwegian Jewel, you can choose between free dining and à la carte specialty meals with varied menus.
The Garden Café is the Jewel's free, modern, casual buffet restaurant with sea views. For a romantic meal, try Le Bistro and its fine French cuisine. Or try the Brazilian steakhouse Moderno Churrascaria.
Among the 15 bars and lounges, the Bliss Ultra Lounge is very lively in the evening. The open-air Pit Stop Bar immerses you in a vintage atmosphere. And the Café & bar Altrium is a must for a coffee break with some pastries.
5-Accommodation on board Norwegian Jewel
Choose the cabin that suits you best: inside, outside, family or balcony. The average surface area is approximately 130 to 269 sq. ft., depending on the category, and balconies range from 32 to 54 sq. ft. Cabins are equipped with twin beds that can be converted into a queen-size bed.
For even greater space and comfort, there are several categories of suites. The most luxurious are The Haven suites, in particular the sublime and immense 3-bedroom Garden Villa.
6-Environment
The Norwegian Jewel, like other ships in its class, is equipped with an exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS). This technology reduces SOx emissions by up to 99%. What's more, the Jewel can be powered by shore-side electricity in ports of call that have this infrastructure.
