Built in 2015, MS Gil Eanes is a next-generation vessel designed to offer expansive living space and panoramic views from anywhere. It is 80 meters long and 11 meters wide.
Her crew includes 25 professionals from the navigation and high-end hotel industry.
Its 66 cabins allow it to board up to 132 passengers. The quality of the layout of the MS Gil Eanes and the care given to the decoration of the spaces have earned it the award of five anchors (river navigation stars).
The MS Gil Eanes offers 6 to 8 day cruises on the Douro. Hillsides worked by winegrowers, canyons, exceptional towns and villages, the Douro Valley is not stingy with wonders! From the contemplation of the shores from the panoramic observation points on board to the visits organized in stopovers, the passengers of the MS Gil Eanes discover the heart of Portugal.
Every morning, the sun deck welcomes passengers wishing to maintain their physical shape for a gym session. This same deck, with its lines of deckchairs, its armchairs and its swimming pool, then offers a very pleasant space for relaxation and admiration.
Need to make some purchases between two stopovers? The on-board shop located next to reception offers a few souvenirs and a small range of useful items.
Located at the front of the main deck, the restaurant offers the best of Portuguese gastronomy. Dishes always made with fresh products. The large windows of the room allow during the meals to lose nothing of the sumptuous landscapes of the banks of the Douro.
The lounge bar, located at the front of the intermediate deck, brings a very pleasant festive note to the cruise. Cocktails, aperitifs, balls, games and gala evenings organized in the evening by the crew punctuate the days rich in emotion in the friendliest of ways.
The MS Gil Eanes offers 66 cabins spread over three decks. The upper deck accommodates 34 cabins with French balcony, the middle deck 24 cabins (including 1 PRM) with French balcony and sliding window and the main deck 8 cabins with window. The decoration combining taupe, bronze, white and turquoise tones creates a contemporary and relaxing atmosphere.
Each cabin is equipped with all modern comforts: reversible air conditioning, television, internal telephone, safe, 220 V sockets, free Wi-Fi, bathroom with WC, hair dryer, selection of shower products and linen toilet.
