Rising over 7 decks, the MS Kong Harald is 121.8 meters long and 19.2 meters wide. During cruises in Norwegian waters, it can carry 590 passengers, as well as 70 crew members.
Activities and entertainment
During this cruise aboard the MS Kong Harald, you can enjoy the scenery outside on the upper deck. This will be the opportunity to admire the Norwegian coasts, the fjords, the islands and the fabulous northern lights in the vicinity of Tromsø.

Gastronomy, bars and lounges
On the MS Kong Harald, Hurtigruten has installed three restaurants, a lounge bar and a pastry shop. At the Multe pastry shop, you can treat yourself to various sweets, including ice cream.
The Torget, the ship's main dining room, offers Norwegian specialties cooked with fresh local produce.
The Krysten is a gourmet restaurant, perfect for tasting seafood.
And Bistro Brygga is suitable for fast food.
Finally, on the upper deck, the Explorer lounge bar is perfect for admiring the scenery with friends, with a hot drink or an alcoholic drink.
Accommodation on board the MS Kong Harald
As the ship was renovated in 2016, the cabins are modern, comfortable and functional. Polar interior and exterior cabins (8 to 13 m²) are equipped with double or separate beds and a porthole for the exterior cabins.
The Arctic Superior category allows you to have a little more space and comfort, with a double bed and a view of the sea.
Also, if you want a higher standard, treat yourself to a 28/30 m² Expedition suite, some with a lounge area, sea view, double bed and welcome gift.
Environment
The Hurtigruten company has carried out a major modernization of all its ships with the shore power system. It has also eliminated on board its fleet all single-use plastic packaging (water bottles, cutlery, shower gel and soap dispensers, etc.).
Hurtigruten has also taken measures to avoid food waste on its boats.
